President Bola Tinubu has praised Vice-President Kashim Shettima for his loyalty, leadership and commitment to the success of his administration as the Vice-President marks his 60th birthday.
Tinubu, in a birthday message issued on Tuesday, described Shettima as a trusted ally, valued partner and patriot whose life has been defined by service, commitment and sacrifice for Nigeria.
The President said Shettima had remained an invaluable partner in the administration, particularly through his support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and his role in coordinating government policies.
“As a trusted partner, his loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu also commended Shettima’s leadership as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying the Vice-President had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and strengthening collaboration between the Federal Government and sub-national governments.
He noted that Shettima’s public service record, from his banking career to his tenure as Governor of Borno State and now Vice-President, reflected courage, diligence and compassion.
“In both capacities, Kashim has demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and an abiding commitment to improving the lives of the people,” the President said.
The President further applauded Shettima’s commitment to constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, describing the qualities as important to strengthening good governance in Nigeria.
Tinubu thanked the Vice-President for his continued support and partnership, expressing confidence that their joint efforts would continue to advance the administration’s promises to Nigerians.
“I must thank Vice-President Shettima for his steadfast support and partnership as we continue to join hands in delivering the promises of Renewed Hope to Nigerians,” he said.
Tinubu also prayed for good health, wisdom and many more years of purposeful service for Shettima.
