The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has distanced itself from a list of purported candidates circulating on social media, insisting that no official list has been released by the party.
The party said only its National Executive Council (NEC) has the authority to announce and ratify the outcomes of its nationwide primaries, warning members and the public against relying on unofficial information.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, stated that the results of the primaries remain in the custody of the NEC and would be made public only after the necessary internal processes have been completed.
NDC also assured stakeholders that its authentic list of candidates for the 2027 elections would be released and submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the appropriate time.
