Former Lagos State Governor and former Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola, has ruled out any plan to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Fashola stated that he is content with his current role at home and would rather allow history to judge his years of public service.
The former governor made the clarification amid ongoing political discussions and speculations about potential contenders for the 2027 presidential race.
Fashola, who served as Governor of Lagos State from 2007 to 2015 and later as Minister of Works and Housing, said he has no interest in seeking Nigeria’s highest political office.
