The All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated its campaign council ahead of the Osun State governorship election, declaring the poll a crucial contest that must be won by the party.
The party constituted its National Campaign Council and various sub-committees to coordinate its campaign activities and mobilise support for its candidate in the forthcoming election.
The campaign council is chaired by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, while other senior party leaders, including governors, National Working Committee members, lawmakers and other stakeholders, were appointed to drive the campaign structure.
APC said the council was established to ensure effective planning, grassroots mobilisation, election management, media coordination, security and other key areas required for a successful campaign.
The ruling party has also included former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, and other prominent political figures in its campaign council as part of efforts to strengthen its chances in the election.
The party’s leadership urged members and supporters in Osun State to work together, mobilise voters at the grassroots and remain committed to delivering victory at the polls.
