The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Monisade Afuye, has applauded voters for their early turnout in the ongoing governorship election, describing the participation as a demonstration of citizens’ commitment to democracy.
Speaking shortly after casting her vote at Polling Unit 003, Atiba Aafin Ward 1 in Ikere-Ekiti, Afuye expressed satisfaction with the orderly conduct of the election and the level of enthusiasm displayed by voters.
She also commended electoral officials and security personnel for maintaining a peaceful environment, noting that the process appeared smooth and transparent in the areas she monitored.
Afuye urged residents to remain peaceful throughout the exercise and allow the electoral process to run its course.
