The Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi Central has stepped up mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections, rallying support for Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s bid for a second term in the Senate.
The mobilisation, led by the Director-General of the PDP campaign in Kogi Central, Salami Etudaiye, began with a solidarity road walk in Okehi Local Government Area, involving youths, women and other party supporters.
Etudaiye said the campaign was aimed at strengthening the PDP’s grassroots presence and encouraging voters across Kogi Central to support Akpoti-Uduaghan based on her performance and representation since assuming office.
He urged residents to focus on performance, capacity and the long-term interests of the district as political activities gather momentum ahead of the election.
The PDP campaign leadership said Akpoti-Uduaghan’s proposed second-term agenda would focus on expanding interventions in infrastructure, education, youth development, women empowerment, healthcare, skills acquisition and economic development across Kogi Central.
