Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has received a fresh group of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Madobi Local Government Area of Kano State, as the party continues to expand its support base ahead of the 2027 general election.
The defectors were officially welcomed during a gathering attended by supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement, many of whom were seen wearing the movement’s trademark red caps. The event highlighted the NDC’s growing political activities in Kano, one of Nigeria’s key voting states.
Kwankwaso described the new members as an important addition to the party and assured them of equal opportunities within the NDC, urging them to remain committed to strengthening the party ahead of the next general election.
