Oyo State Governor and the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, is set to inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council on Friday as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, said the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, will serve as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and Director-General of the state’s Governorship Campaign Council.
The statement added that former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Saheed Arowosaye, has been appointed Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign, while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, will serve as Deputy Director-General (South) of the Governorship Campaign Council.
Other appointments include the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Seun Ashamu, as Deputy Director-General (Central), and the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatunbosun, as Deputy Director-General (North).
The campaign structure is expected to coordinate the party’s mobilisation efforts across Oyo State ahead of the January 2027 presidential election and the subsequent governorship poll.
