The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the August 15 Osun State election, Bola Oyebamiji, has promised sweeping reforms in electricity, education and healthcare if elected governor, saying the sectors are critical to the state’s economic growth and human development.
Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Osun Muslim Community in Osogbo on Sunday, Oyebamiji said his administration would prioritise stable power supply to stimulate businesses and attract investments. He also pledged to improve public schools and healthcare facilities to ensure residents have access to quality education and medical services.
The APC candidate further assured residents that his government would strengthen security across the state, stressing that protecting lives and property is essential for commerce, investment and overall development.
Oyebamiji also promised to run an inclusive administration that would ensure fair distribution of development projects across all parts of Osun without discrimination. He urged voters to support his candidacy, saying his administration would focus on policies that improve the welfare of the people and accelerate the state’s development.
The Osun governorship election is scheduled for August 15, with Oyebamiji seeking to unseat the incumbent governor through what he described as a development-driven agenda centred on infrastructure, human capital and economic growth.
