The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has fulfilled his promises to Nigerians through various economic intervention programmes introduced by his administration.
Yilwatda said the initiatives under the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda were designed to support small businesses, empower young Nigerians, create jobs and improve economic opportunities across the country.
The APC chairman, in a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Information Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, said access to affordable financing had remained a major challenge for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), but noted that the Tinubu administration had taken steps to address the issue through targeted funding programmes.
He highlighted the ₦75 billion Presidential Intervention Fund for MSMEs, describing it as one of the major government efforts aimed at providing financial support to entrepreneurs and helping businesses expand. He also mentioned other support programmes, including funds targeted at youth entrepreneurship and small business development.
According to Yilwatda, the intervention programmes were not merely government announcements but practical investments aimed at improving productivity, strengthening local economies and creating opportunities for Nigerians.
“The evidence is unmistakable,” Yilwatda said, adding that businesses were receiving support, young Nigerians were being empowered and economic inclusion was increasing under the administration.
He reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to policies that encourage entrepreneurship, attract investment, strengthen local industries and build a resilient economy capable of delivering sustainable growth.
However, the Tinubu administration’s economic policies have continued to attract mixed reactions, with supporters highlighting reform efforts while critics have raised concerns over the impact of some measures on the cost of living.
Yilwatda maintained that the government would continue implementing programmes aimed at improving the livelihoods of Nigerians and delivering on its development agenda.
