The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Alli, has officially received his Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination form ahead of the 2027 governorship election. The presentation marked a significant step in the party’s preparations for the poll.
At the ceremony, the APC candidate also unveiled Adedeji as his running mate, completing the party’s governorship ticket for the election. Party leaders described the choice as part of efforts to strengthen the APC’s campaign structure and broaden its appeal across the state.
Speaking during the event, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda urged party members to remain united and work collectively for victory at the polls. He called on aspirants who were unsuccessful in the party’s primaries to support the candidates and avoid actions capable of causing division within the party.
Yilwatda stressed that the APC’s primary elections produced no losers, noting that all aspirants remain valuable stakeholders in the party. He encouraged candidates to engage party members at the grassroots and focus on presenting policies that would attract voters ahead of the election.
In his remarks, Alli expressed appreciation to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work with his running mate and other stakeholders to secure victory for the APC in Oyo State. He also promised to run an inclusive campaign aimed at addressing the developmental needs of the state.
