National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has alleged that some individuals are searching for excuses to weaken and destabilise opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Dickson said the recent legal challenges facing the NDC should not be viewed in isolation, arguing that they form part of a broader attempt to frustrate credible opposition forces. He maintained that the party remains intact and is determined to challenge the court ruling through the appropriate legal process.
Dickson insisted that the NDC had not been deregistered and urged members to remain united despite the ongoing legal battle. He also dismissed suggestions that the party’s future was under threat, expressing confidence that it would overcome the current challenges.
