The Kwara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared its readiness for the 2027 general elections, insisting that it will not be intimidated by any political force as preparations for the polls gather momentum. According to Punch, the party said it remains committed to providing a credible alternative for residents of the state and Nigerians at large.
ADC leaders made the declaration during a stakeholders’ meeting in Ilorin, where they expressed confidence in the party’s growing support base ahead of the next election cycle. The party maintained that its members would continue mobilising across the state despite alleged attempts to discourage opposition politics.
The opposition party stressed that democracy thrives when citizens are free to associate with political platforms of their choice, adding that no amount of pressure would force its members to abandon their convictions. Party officials also urged supporters to remain peaceful, united and focused on grassroots engagement as the race toward 2027 intensifies.
ADC further assured its members that it would continue strengthening its structures across Kwara’s local government areas while preparing candidates capable of challenging for elective offices. The party said it remains optimistic about its prospects in the coming elections and vowed to stay resilient in the face of political challenges.
