The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, has set a target of at least two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Adeola made the declaration during the inauguration of the City Boy Movement in Ogun State, where he called for strong mobilisation across the state in support of the President.
Ogun State has about 3.01 million registered voters, according to the APC candidate. He said the proposed two-million-vote target would be a way for the people of the state to show appreciation for what he described as the Tinubu administration’s projects and interventions in Ogun.
Adeola also argued that the Federal Government had contributed to infrastructure development and other areas of the state’s economy. He expressed optimism that Ogun’s internally generated revenue could rise significantly as the impact of new federal projects and investments becomes more evident.
The APC candidate urged members of the City Boy Movement and other supporters to begin preparations for the 2027 election, stressing the need for effective mobilisation across the state.
