Ogun APC has unveiled its campaign council for the 2027 general elections, with Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governors Olusegun Osoba, Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun taking prominent positions in the campaign structure.
According to the list signed by the state APC chairman, Yemi Sanusi, Abiodun will serve as chairman of the campaign council, while the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, will serve as co-chairman.
Former Senator representing Ogun East, Lekan Mustapha, was appointed Director-General of the campaign council.
Former governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun were named Deputy Grand Patrons, while former governor and APC national leader, Olusegun Osoba, will serve as Grand Patron.
The council also includes Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele and the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, who were appointed deputy chairmen.
The state APC chairman, Yemi Sanusi, will serve as vice-chairman, while Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, and Minister of State for Health, Kunle Salako, were appointed Vice Director-General, Campaign Operations, and Vice Director-General, Administration, respectively.
The 156-member committee will oversee the party’s campaign and mobilisation activities across Ogun State’s 20 local government areas.
Its responsibilities include grassroots mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, youth and women engagement, as well as coordination of other campaign activities.
Sanusi said the structure was designed to strengthen the party’s organisation and ensure effective coordination ahead of the 2027 elections.
