The Director-General of the National Campaign Management Committee of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation, Felix Hyat, has expressed confidence that the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, will reset Nigeria if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Hyat, a former Minister of State for Aviation and former Kaduna State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, was appointed to lead the campaign organisation ahead of the election.
According to him, the campaign will take Makinde’s “Reset Nigeria” message to Nigerians across the country and mobilise support for the APM presidential ticket.
Makinde has said his proposed reset agenda would focus on providing a new security architecture, improving education, rebuilding the economy through data, science and logic, and addressing challenges in the country’s socio-political environment.
The APM presidential candidate has also said the reset could be achieved within four years if his administration is elected in 2027.
Hyat’s appointment is part of the campaign’s broader effort to bring experienced political strategists, administrators and mobilisers together ahead of the election.
Makinde also appointed former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Inna Ciroma, and Dr Anthony Aziegbemi as Deputy Directors-General for Administration and Operations respectively.
The campaign organisation has also constituted directorates covering mobilisation, legal and compliance, administration and strategy, strategic communications, finance, security and intelligence, women and youth coordination, as well as monitoring and documentation.
