According to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Bola Tinubu and the standard of life for Nigerians are in competition for the general elections in 2027.
PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, stated this while presenting a Certificate of Return to the PDP candidate for the Anambra State governorship election, Chief Ezenwafor Jude.
This election in 2027 is not about how many governors you have or how many leaders. It’s about Nigerians and Tinubu,” Damagum stated.
The decision belongs to the average guy, who is experiencing the suffering. Therefore, I would like to take this occasion to inform Nigerians that they are voting.
Nigerians are up against the APC. “It is APC against Nigerians not APC against any senator or anything else. Therefore, I want to exhort everyone to band together and save themselves from this adversity, which is not a coincidence but rather a deliberate punishment.
He also offered his thoughts on the defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and former Governor of the State Ifeanyi Okowa.
Oborevwori, Okowa and every cabinet members of the Delta State government switched from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The PDP leader claimed the party has been too magnanimous to Delta State and did not deserve the political treatment it received through the defection.
It’s quite sad and unfortunate because in my opinion, if there’s any state that should think that way, not Delta, because the party is very magnanimous. I thank God that in their message, they didn’t say that the party did anything wrong to them other than good,” he remarked.
They have made the decision, but we will suffer since we have supported Delta State wholeheartedly, from the governor’s election to his predecessor, who also served as our vice presidential candidate.
I think we’ve done it all for them in Delta State. This was the last thing we anticipated from them. Nevertheless, this is a party that have seen more than that, but it’s still standing.
