Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has been bestowed with the national honor of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) by President Bola Tinubu.
The meeting, which was held in Lagos on Tuesday, was a component of Gates’ current trip to Nigeria to talk about important development and health projects.
Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa and the founder of the Dangote Group, was also present at the ceremony when President Tinubu presented Gates with the medal of honor, according to photos from the occasion.
Gates, who is the chair of the Gates Foundation, is in Nigeria to discuss ways to improve the nation’s primary healthcare system with state and federal officials.
In addition, Gates will speak with local scientists and partners who are contributing to Nigeria’s national policy on artificial intelligence and health solutions at a Goalkeepers Nigeria event centered on Africa’s innovation future, according to a release from the Gates Foundation.
