The Ogun State Government has proclaimed Today Friday, November 15, a work-free day for both civil and public servants in the state.

This information was officially announced in a circular issued by Kehinde Onasanya, the Head of Service.

Written in the circular, the State Lead Representative, Dapo Abiodun, endorsed the work-free day to enable civil and public servants to partake completely in the forthcoming local government elections, scheduled to happen across the state’s 20 local government areas and 237 wards on Saturday, November 16.

The work-free day is intended to ensure active participation in the electoral process, by giving the citizens the right to exercise their civic duties without block.

This choice, the head of service said, shows Lead Representative The Lead Representative’s obligation to promoting democratic participation and civic commitment in Ogun State.

Onasanya stated, “This choice lines up with Lead Representative Abiodun’s endeavors to prioritize the welfare and participation of citizens in the democratic processes.”
