The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, expresses strong confidence in his principal’s assured victory in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Bwala, who appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, asserted that no politician possesses the capability to defeat President Tinubu in the forthcoming electoral cycle.
“I have observed the current political landscape in Nigeria, and I will base my statements on facts rather than speculation.
“There is not a single politician who can effectively challenge President Bola Tinubu on all fronts,” he stated.
With the 2027 elections approaching in less than two years, various political strategies and alliances are being discussed regarding the race.
Opposition figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Senate President David Mark, among others, are uniting efforts to displace the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Additionally, there have been calls for former President Goodluck Jonathan to enter the 2027 presidential race, although he has not publicly disclosed his stance on the matter.
However, Bwala noted that Jonathan has gained increased international recognition since leaving office in 2015.
The presidential aide elaborated that Tinubu has successfully garnered support from both the northern and southern regions of the country.
He further remarked, “Certain unscrupulous individuals are attempting to mislead former President Goodluck Jonathan into re-entering politics, aiming to tarnish the reputation he has cultivated since leaving office by becoming a globally recognized figure.
“The individuals approaching him in the North, urging him to run, were they not the same ones who drove him away? What assurance does he have that this time they are reaching out to him with genuine intentions?”
