Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has dispatched an undeniable level delegation to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, to address the rising danger of a new Islamic group, called Lakurawa, whose new attacks have claimed 15 lives in the state.
In a release by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, the delegation led by former Kebbi Governor and Minister of Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, included Sen. Bala Ibn Na’Allah, APC National Organising Secretary Alhaji Suleiman Argungu, and former Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of the State, Barrister Nasiru Junju.
During the visit, the minister emphasized the criticalness of military intervention to end the security emergency affecting both Kebbi and the wider region.
In this same vein, he expressed gratitude to the military and security agencies for their continuous support in addressing the state’s security challenges.
Accordingly, General Musa assured the delegacy that the military is ready to act quickly, pledging collaboration with other security agencies to safeguard the state and bring the perpetrators to justice.
