Aisha Yesufu, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has cautioned Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential contender, against deputizing any presidential candidate in the 2027 election.
Popular sociopolitical activist Aisha declared in a video that is currently circulating on social media that she would oppose any presidential ticket that included Obi as vice president.
She believes that the former state lead representative of Anambra State is the most qualified candidate and ought to receive the presidential ticket.
She declared, “I’m giving you people my word. If Peter Obi emerges as a running mate to anyone, I will work against that ticket.
“In my little capacity, I will work against them even if I don’t support any other candidates. Why do we constantly want the best to come in second?
According to reports, one of the candidates vying for the party’s ticket is Obi, who joined the ADC, a coalition of opposition figures planning to remove President Bola Tinubu.
However, there are signs that former vice president Atiku Abubakar would become the party’s flagbearer and choose Obi as his deputy.
