The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ekiti North Senatorial District, Dr Olusegun Osinkolu, has promised to provide inclusive and people-oriented representation if elected.
Osinkolu made the pledge during his tour of the five local government areas in the district — Moba, Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje, Oye and Ikole.
He said his priority would be to address what he described as the neglect and backwardness of the senatorial district.
“The 2027 senatorial election gives the people of this district the opportunity to effect change and redress the backwardness by voting right, voting for me as the right candidate, whether you belong to the PDP or not,” he said.
Osinkolu listed youth and women empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare delivery and agricultural development among his priorities if elected.
He also promised to pursue legislation capable of attracting federal presence and development projects to communities across Ekiti North.
“If given the mandate, I will prioritise youth and women’s empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare delivery, agricultural development and effective legislation that will attract federal presence and bring dividends of democracy to every corner of Ekiti North,” he said.
The candidate also expressed confidence that the PDP would perform strongly in the district, urging party members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the election.
He promised that the welfare of constituents would remain central to his decisions if elected.
