Abubakar Malami, Rotimi Amaechi, Hadi Sirika, and Rauf Aregbesola, among others, have long since departed the ruling party, according to Onanuga, who has something to say about each member of the coalition, particularly those joining from the All Progressives Congress.
According to reports earlier Wednesday, coalition leaders formally accepted the African Democratic Congress, or ADC, as their platform to run against the APC in 2027 during a meeting at the Yar’Adua Center in Abuja.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, former State lead representatives Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi, as well as other political figures like Dino Melaye, Dele Momodu, Solomon Dalung, Senator Gabriel Suswam, Senator Ireti Kingibe, Emeka Ihedioha, and retired Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar were among the notable attendees.
According to Onanuga, the coalition cannot be beneficial to our nation because they are desperate and want to regress it by decades. They are joined solely by their hatred of Tinubu.
He claimed that members like Rotimi Amaechi, who departed in 2022 after losing the party’s presidential primary to Tinubu, would not be mourned by the APC.
According to the presidential spokesperson, Malami has never supported Tinubu and has made no secret of his distance from the ruling party, particularly since losing his ambition to become governor of Kebbi state.
According to Onanuga, in the statement, said that Sirika is facing “trial for contract splitting and other allegations.”
Onanuga said that Aregbesola has subsequently been kicked out of the APC for allegedly engaging in anti-party actions and lacking political significance.
According to him, John Odigie Oyegun, the former national chairman of the APC, and Kashim Imam are just unhappy politicians who have left the party.
“My advice to Nigerians: Keep your eyes wide open. A political party with no clear agenda or ideology whose members are united only by their hatred for President Tinubu cannot be good for our country. It will only set us back by decades,” he said.
He cautioned Nigerians not to fall for the politicians, who, in his opinion, are only desperate and hungry to seize power from Tinubu and the APC for their own benefit and have no regard for the people of Nigeria.
“They want power at all costs because they cannot endure another four years in the political wilderness or be banished to political winter and irrelevance,” he stated.
What is certain is that their incompatible personal goals will cause the group to disintegrate very soon.
