The National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been announced for July 24, 2025.
According to article 12.3 of the APC constitution, the party urged all NEC members to take the notification of the meeting seriously in a message published on its official social media on Friday.
Report explains that the National Chairman of the party, the Deputy National Chairmen (North and South), the National Secretary, and others would make up the NEC in accordance with article 12.3 of the APC constitution.
As you may remember, Ali Dalori was named acting head of the party after Umar Ganduje resigned as chairman last Friday. Ali Bukar Dalori, in the meantime, took over as the party’s Acting National Chairman on Monday.
Dalori, who was the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the APC, emerged as the party’s acting chairman following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje as the National Chairman of the party.
After his predecessor, Abdullahi Adamu, from the North-Central zone, resigned, Ganduje, from the North-West zone, took over as party head in August 2023.
Dalori assured party members of his dedication to carry out his new role with transparency, inclusiveness, and a unity of purpose.
In order to protect the party’s unity, discipline, and direction, the acting chairman declared that he was ready to collaborate with members as partners.
Dalori urged NEC members to maintain a broad perspective, provide the Nigerian people with effective administration, and strengthen democracy inside the party systems.
