APC National Secretary Refutes Claims Of Alliance With Aregbesola

In anticipation of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has refuted claims that he is engaged in discussions with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola regarding a collaborative political agenda.

A statement released by the spokesperson for his campaign organization characterized the reports from the news source as inaccurate.

The statement indicated that the assertions suggesting that the APC National Secretary had contacted Aregbesola for reconciliation and a potential alliance were unfounded.

Moreover, it emphasized that such an initiative was inconceivable, particularly given that Aregbesola is no longer affiliated with the APC.

Basiru is among the candidates vying for the party’s nomination in the upcoming Osun State governorship election, which is set to take place in August of next year.
