‘APC Government Has Made Nigerians Poorer’ – LP Interim Chairman Nenadi Usman

The interim National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has asserted that the current government led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) has caused greater impoverishment among Nigerians than any prior administration in the history of the nation. She characterized the extent of suffering throughout the country as “intolerable.”

In a statement to reporters in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Usman expressed the Labour Party’s dedication to rectifying what she termed the ‘serious missteps and failures’ of the APC-led Federal Government.

She encouraged citizens to place their trust in the Labour Party, assuring them that the party is devoted to providing a credible, people-focused alternative that will restore hope and reclaim the dignity of the nation.

Regarding the recent trend of defections from the Labour Party and other opposition parties to the ruling APC, Senator Usman characterized this phenomenon as not only legally dubious but also morally indefensible to ascend to power through one party and then defect after achieving victory.

Despite these defections, she maintained that the Labour Party remains steadfast, emphasizing that the party derives its strength from the unwavering support of the Nigerian populace.

“Many individuals who departed from the party never genuinely believed in its vision for a new Nigeria. Their departure has merely served to clarify our ranks and fortify our determination.

“I urge all discontented members to lay down their arms and strive for unity as the party prepares for membership revalidation, congresses, and the national convention, all of which have received approval from the National Executive Council (NEC).
