The Kebbi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Kana, has declared that the party is not aware of the presence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) within the state.
Kana remarked that only a handful of “immature youths” are advocating for the ADC as if it were merely a trivial matter.
He made this assertion during the flag-off event for the distribution of fertilizer and other agricultural inputs by the Member representing Bagudu/Suru Federal Constituency, which took place in Kaoje town, Bagudu Local Government Area (LGA).
The chairman of the ruling party underscored that the APC continues to be the leading political party in Kebbi State, further stating that the state governor has excelled in his two-year tenure.
However, the party chairman voiced his concerns regarding the conduct of certain APC members in significant government positions, accusing them of neglecting their constituents.
“I am aware that many have benefited from this government, yet they are unable to assist their people,” Kana remarked.
“What is even more distressing is that some of them have moved to the state capital and refuse to return to their communities, simply to avoid providing assistance to them,” he continued.
“If you receive one million naira, you could allocate at least three hundred thousand to support your people; that small act can significantly contribute to reshaping our political framework,” he stated.
Kana cautioned that if such conduct persists, the party will have no alternative but to recommend to the governor the dismissal of those officeholders who do not support their constituents.
