The Lagos State Government has released a traffic advisory to facilitate smooth transit during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries set for Saturday, May 10. The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, communicated this in a statement provided to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Lagos. Osiyemi indicated that access to ACME Road from Adeniyi Jones, Lateef Jakande, and ACME Crescent will be restricted. The entire length of ACME Road will be closed to vehicular traffic during the primaries. Therefore, motorists are advised to utilize alternative routes: those traveling from Adeniyi Jones should connect to Aromire to reach Allen Junction and continue their journeys. Likewise, motorists departing from Allen are encouraged to take Aromire to connect with Ladipo Oluwole and access Guinness to arrive at their destinations. Additionally, motorists coming from Akilo Road can connect to Wemco Road, link to Lateef Jakande, or proceed onto Omole to complete their travels. He urged the public to plan their movements in advance of Saturday. ‘If you do not have any urgent or essential business in the ACME Road area, please consider avoiding it to facilitate movement and minimize congestion. Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority will be present to oversee vehicular flow along the affected routes,’ he stated.
