On Monday, governors affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) paid a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna. The delegation, organized under the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), was led by its chairman, Hope Uzodinma, who is also the Governor of Imo State.
Following the visit, Uzodinma addressed the media, stating that the purpose of their gathering was to convey warm Sallah greetings to Buhari and to congratulate him on the successful completion of Ramadan.
“This visit holds significant meaning, reflecting our respect, loyalty, and ongoing appreciation for the statesmanship, leadership, and legacy of President Muhammadu Buhari,” Uzodinma remarked, as reported by Ismaila Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Gombe Government House.
He emphasized that the APC remains united and dedicated to the principles of good governance that Buhari advocated during his presidency. Additionally, Uzodinma noted that the visit served as an opportunity to wish the former president well as he adjusts to his newly renovated home in Kaduna.
Among those who attended the visit were Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, along with other APC governors from Kaduna, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Edo, Kogi, Ondo, Ekiti, and Benue States. The deputy governor of Jigawa State and the Minister of Budget and National Planning were also present, along with other distinguished guests.
