Wike, Others Face Disciplinary Measures From PDP Over Anti-Party Behavior

Former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike and other chieftains of the party blamed for different demonstrations of hostility to party exercises, are to show up before the Chief Tom Ikimi-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) disciplinary council. The party secretary Ibrahim Abdullahi affirmed this development.

Abdullahi clarified that Wike had been had been called by means of a letter to show up the Tom Ikimi-led PDP disciplinary committee set up by the party’s National Working Committee.

The PDP Representative said,, “Three weeks prior, we set up committees, we set up two advisory groups, that of compromise and disciplinary, and Nyesom Wike is one of the persons to face the disciplinary council, which is led by Chief Tom Ikimi.

“The disciplinary council will investigate issues of hostile to party exercises. We’ve been getting petitions with respect to against party exercises or disrupting the party all through the essential, prompting where we are presently. These petitions against Wike and other party individuals have been accumulated and sent to disciplinary council.

“Some party members even felt that Wike shouldn’t have gotten to this level still as a member of the PDP and they have been writing to the leadership.”

Explaining further, Abdullahi said the former Rivers state governor’s assertion about “putting fire in their (PDP Governors’ states” is wrong and unacceptable).

He continued, “Wike should be able to manage his words carefully; that was a very disappointing remark. We weren’t expecting him to say that, and to be honest with you, we are not with him on that.”

Abdullahi expressed this scarcelytwo days after Wike offered his thanks to President Bola Tinubu for permitting him to serve in his administration.

This is regardless of his persevering reactions and his message against PDP governors for supporting Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
