The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in Jigawa State, Umar Danjani, has warned that residents of the state could face four years of hardship and regret if the party loses the 2027 elections.
Danjani, the immediate past PDP Deputy Chairman in the state and the party’s candidate for the Hadejia/Auyo/Kafin-Hausa Federal Constituency, made the statement in a post on his Facebook account.
He said the consequences of losing the governorship election would go beyond PDP candidates, stressing that the people of Jigawa would ultimately bear the impact.
“Even if a governorship election is conducted today and the PDP fails to win, it will not be the party’s candidates alone who will suffer. The people of Jigawa State will be the ones to pay the price, enduring four years of regret,” Danjani said.
He urged voters to consider the experience and qualifications of PDP candidates, arguing that the party has capable leaders who can improve development in the state.
Danjani also praised former Jigawa Governor Sule Lamido, describing him as one of the most outstanding performing governors in Northern Nigeria during his tenure.
He said a PDP victory would give Jigawa residents an opportunity to regain their dignity, pride and confidence in the future of the state.
“PDP victory would offer Jigawa residents an opportunity to regain their dignity, pride and confidence in the state’s future,” he said.
