Former Vice-President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will campaign across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the ADC Presidential Campaign Council has said.

The Director of Strategic Communication of the council, Phrank Shaibu, disclosed this during an interview on ARISE News, saying no part of the country would be left out of Atiku’s campaign itinerary.

Shaibu said the campaign timetable would be released shortly, adding that Atiku’s engagements would go beyond conventional rallies in state capitals.

According to him, the former vice-president will also participate in town hall meetings, community engagements and visits to local government areas and villages as part of efforts to interact directly with Nigerians.

“We are not going to limit our campaign to just state capital or to just rallies,” Shaibu said.

He explained that the strategy was designed to allow Atiku to listen directly to citizens and understand the challenges confronting them across different parts of the country.

Shaibu dismissed suggestions that Atiku’s campaign would be largely concentrated in northern Nigeria, arguing that economic hardship was affecting Nigerians irrespective of their geographical location.

“The man who is hungry in Zamfara is the same as the man who is hungry in Lagos,” he said.

The ADC campaign official expressed confidence in Atiku’s nationwide appeal, insisting that the candidate’s campaign would reach voters across the country.

He further predicted that Atiku would win across Nigeria, saying the former vice-president had a pathway to victory beyond any particular region.

“I will not just be bold, I will be audacious about it. Atiku will win the entire country,” Shaibu declared.

The planned nationwide campaign comes amid growing political activity ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

It also contrasts with President Bola Tinubu’s decision to limit his personal participation in APC campaign rallies to 12 states, with the President saying he needed to balance electioneering with his responsibilities as head of government.
