PRP raises alarm over alleged plot to weaken party

The Peoples Redemption Party has raised the alarm over an alleged plot to destabilise and divide the party ahead of the general election.

The party alleged that some individuals were working behind the scenes to create divisions within its ranks and weaken its political structure.

The PRP said the alleged move would not distract its leadership from its political objectives, insisting that the party remained focused on strengthening its organisation and mobilising Nigerians.

The party urged its members and supporters to remain vigilant and avoid actions capable of creating unnecessary divisions within the organisation.

According to the PRP, attempts to cause internal disagreements could undermine the party’s preparations and affect its ability to present a strong political alternative.

The party maintained that its leadership would continue to engage members and stakeholders in order to preserve unity and resolve disagreements through internal mechanisms.

It also called on members to place the interests of the party above personal ambitions, particularly as political activities intensify.

The PRP said it remained committed to participating actively in the political process and pursuing its objectives despite what it described as efforts to weaken the party from within.
