Mohammed Atiku-Abubakar, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has engaged in a dispute with Shamsu Bala, the son of the Governor of Bauchi State, regarding the 2023 election.
In his remarks, Mohammed accused Shamsu’s father, Bala Muhammed, of undermining Atiku’s campaign during the 2023 presidential election and failing to support him in the 2019 election as well.
In a statement released yesterday, Mohammed asserted that his father has never received support from Muhammed in his presidential aspirations. This exchange of words was sparked by Shamsu’s recent announcement that his father would not endorse Atiku in the 2027 election.
He stated, “Shamsu Bala’s remarks reflect a sense of arrogance and an inflated perception of his importance. The only distinction now is that Shamsu has dropped the pretense, and we no longer need to concern ourselves with any false impression of support from his father.
“Let it be clear to Shamsu that Atiku has never expended any effort on his father’s political challenges.”
