Senate Confirms Ned Nwoko’s Defection To APC

The Senate has officially reported the defection of Senator Ned Nwoko (representing Delta North) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), following his recent abdication from the opposition party.

Citing deteriorating shakiness and internal crises within the PDP, Nwoko communicated the fact that the party’s present state represents danger to his political career, inciting his choice to switch loyalty.

Loud serenades erupted as he was accompanied to the majority wing of the Red Chamber.

In addition to his defection, the senator in a correspondence read by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, encouraged the Senate to lay out an ad hoc committee to look into the ongoing crisis within the PDP.

He stressed the need for a viable opposition to protect Nigeria’s political landscape and guarantee a balanced democratic process.
