Newly instated Ondo State Chief Executive, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Olayide Adelami presented their testimonials of election to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at Presidential Villa Abuja.
The APC National chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and Ekiti state Chief Executive Oyebanji was in attendance, as indicated in a statement endorsed by Special Adviser to the President Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Last week, the Independent National Electoral Commission issued a certificate of return to Aiyedatiwa and his deputy.
The ceremony took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja and in attendance were the Ondo State Chief Executive-elect who is likewise the incumbent Chief Executive, his deputy, the national chairman of the APC and other conspicuous members of the party from the state.
The electoral officials depicted the just concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election as a genuine impression of the will of the people of Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa was proclaimed victor of the election which recently took place by INEC, defeating his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The incumbent Chief Executive of the Sunshine State polled 366,781 votes to overcome a former deputy representative of the state Ajayi who fled the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag. He scored 117,845 votes, beyond twice lower than the APC candidate.
