PDP Is Revived – Bode George

A member of the Board of Trustees for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has asserted that, contrary to popular belief, the primary opposition party has been revitalized.
George made this statement during an interview from the news source, shortly after the party conducted its significant National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting aimed at addressing the ongoing crisis within the PDP.
“We have already accomplished the resurrection today. An iroko tree does not perish; this party is akin to an iroko tree because its tap root is profoundly entrenched,” George remarked.
He accused certain politicians of being self-serving, contending that they have strayed from the aspirations of the party’s founders.
“We have gained insight from our experiences, and that insight was the foundation of the discussions held yesterday and today. It reminded me of the pinnacle of our existence as a political entity. I departed the chambers feeling rejuvenated,” he expressed.
“The PDP NEC meeting represented the acknowledgment of our shortcomings and the actions we have taken. This party does not belong to any single individual; no one can assert ownership over this party.”

George, who serves as the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), stated that Adolphus Wabara urged PDP members to reject selfishness in favor of selflessness.
“We must continuously cultivate selfless leaders. We need an increase in selfless leaders and a decrease in selfish leaders. That was the essence of what he conveyed today,” George added.
When questioned about the possibility of abandoning the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), he firmly responded with a no.

Instead, he criticized the policies of President Bola Tinubu and lamented the prevailing hardships in the nation.

Additionally, he claimed that the APC did not legitimately win the 2023 presidential election, arguing that the electoral process was flawed
