NLC Rally’s Members For Ajaero’s Appearance

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has directed all state chapters and offshoot members to mobilize members in fortitude with the NLC President Joe Ajaero, who is supposed to honour police summon over alleged terrorism on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

General Secretary of the NLC, Emmanuel Ugboaja, affirmed the order to reporters.

As indicated by the NLC general secretary, the order likewise instructed members from across the states to mobilize and embark on a tranquil parade to their respective state police commands and remained there until the NLC president is out of the police custody.

In the meantime, NLC members in Abuja are additionally anticipated to do same, with a few leaders of the labour union accompanying the union president to the police investigation office.

The police had summoned Ajaero last week for questioning over allegations of financing terrorism, treacherous crime and cybercrime.

Be that as it may, the NLC, through its legal counsel, sought for a new date to honour the invitation.
