More than 100 APC supporters Defect to ADC in Kebbi

In Kebbi State’s Lega Local Government Area, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost at least 100,000 members.

In a massive defection event over the weekend, APC supporters joined the African Democratic Congress, or ADC.

The ADC mobilization on their social media handle stated that there were more than 120,000 defectors.

According to reports, Kebbi State native Abubakar Malami, the troubled Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, has been courting lawmakers to join the opposition party.


One of the opposition leaders who chose ADC as their platform for the 2027 general elections is the former minister, who is presently being held by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.


Across the country, a sizable number of people have defected from the party.
