Kwankwaso Predicts End for Defectors in 2027 Polls

The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, says those who have defected from the NNPP or the Kwankwasiyya movement will be held politically accountable in the general elections of 2027.

Kwankwaso gave the warning as the celebrations for his 69th birthday continued.

Those quitting the organization were doing so at their own risk, the former state lead representative of Kano state said, emphasizing that treason will continue to be punished by the Kwankwasiyya’s political project.

“At this point in time, if anyone thinks he can cross over and still come to Kano to win an election, such a person is only deceiving himself. Our movement will continue to take action against those who betray it,” he said.

The former politician claimed that loyalty and beliefs, rather than animosity, were the driving forces behind his political philosophy.
