Katsina State Lead Representative, Malam Dikko Radda, on Monday endorsed the sum of N248 Million for the provision of starter packs to 634 graduate trainees of the Katsina Youth Craft Village.
The Lead Representative consoled residents of the state of his administration’s responsibility towards transforming jobless youth from passive recipients to active economic contributors.
This initiative, according to the Chief Press Secretary to the Lead Representative, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, lines up with the administration’s core objective of eliminating youth from unproductive environments and integrating them into significant economic ventures.
“By providing these starter packs, we are not just offering support, yet creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods and economic independence for our youth,” the assertion added.
The Center Coordinator of the Katsina Youth Craft Village, Engineer Kabir Kofar-Soro, accentuated that the program aims to guarantee that, trainees meet both national and international skills standards, situating them as potential job creators in their local communities.
Kofar-Soro, further asked the recipients to actually take advantage of the government gesture.
“This comprehensive approach underscores the state government’s dedication to nurturing human capital and creating sustainable economic opportunities”, he stated.
