Plateau State Chief Executive, Caleb Mutfwang, has reshuffled his cabinet and created a new Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services, and Fisheries in the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, revealed this in a statement in Jos, saying the cabinet reshuffle followed the inauguration of five new commissioners earlier appointed by the Chief Executive of the State.
However, a few of the old commissioners retained their portfolios, others were assigned to new ministries.
Those impacted by the changes were Musa Ashoms, who has moved from the Ministry of Information and Communications to the Ministry for Youth and Sports Development.
Ubandoma Laven, who was in charge of the Housing and Urban Development Ministry, was moved to the Ministry of Works, and Dr. Cletus Shurkuk, was moved from the Health Ministry to Science and Technology.
Among the new commissioners, Sylvanus Dongtoe was appointed the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, and Mrs. Joy Ramnap, Information and Communications.
While Dr. Nicholas Baamlong was assigned to the Ministry of Health, Cornelius Doeyok will head the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality. At the same time, Dr. Sunday Akpa will man the newly created Ministry for Livestock Development, Veterinary Services and Fisheries.
The newly appointed commissioners have been confirmed by Lead Representative Mutfwang who charged them to be imaginative in their various tasks and add to the advancement of the state.
