Ogun State Lead Representative Dapo Abiodun has emerged as the chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum (SGF) while his Southeast counterpart Lead Representative of Anambra State Chukwuma Soludo will serve as his deputy.
This was conveyed by the chairman of the South-west Governors Forum and the Lead Representative of Lagos State Babajide Sanwoolu after the forum’s meeting at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Monday.
Giving his acknowledgment speech after the meeting which went on for over five hours, Lead Representative Abiodun vowed not to betray the confidence rested in him and his vice by their colleagues.
Lead Representative Abiodun is supplanting the former Lead Representative of Ondo State, the late Rotimi Aketedolu, and is supposed to give the essential leadership for the development of the region.
Thirteen Lead Representatives and three deputies attended the meeting. However, the Rivers State Lead Representative Similayi Fubara was absent from the event.
