Reports from the Nigerian Senate says a bill to establish the Federal Institute of Entrepreneurship and Technical Skills Development, Osisioma, Abia State, has scaled trough first reading at the Senate.
According to reports, the bill which is inspired by the legislative objective of Senator Austin Akobundu to continue to leverage the comparative advantage of localities in Abia Central Senatorial District, will further drive the development of entrepreneurial and technical prowess of the people of Osisioma LGA and its contiguous city of Aba.
It would be recalled that Senator Austin Akobundu had earlier sponsored bills for the establishment of National Sport University, Nsulu; the establishment of Federal Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Umuahia North LGA; and the establishment of Federal College of Health Technology, Ikwuano LGA. The latest is the one for the establishment of a Federal Institute of Entrepreneurship and Technical Skills Development, Osisioma LGA.
