Niger State Chief Executive, Umaru Bago, has presented a N1.558 trillion budget estimate for the 2025 financial year to the Niger State House of Assembly.
This represents a 48.32% expansion compared to the 2024 appropriation.
Tagged “Budget of Hope for Sustainability and Food Security,” the Chief Executive underlined that the budget would zero in investments in agriculture and infrastructure.
The total expected budget for 2025 is supposed to be higher than the 2024 appropriation by 48.32%.
The budget breakdown reveals that ₦196.335 billion (13% of the budget size) will be allocated for recurrent expenditure, while a staggering ₦1.362 trillion (87% of the total budget size) will be committed to capital expenditure.
