The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Adamawa State has identified agriculture as a major driver of economic growth and job creation if elected in the 2027 governorship election.
The candidate said his administration would prioritise policies capable of creating an enabling environment for farmers and other players in the agricultural value chain to increase production and improve their livelihoods.
He stressed the need to move beyond subsistence farming by supporting sustainable production and creating opportunities for investment in the agricultural sector.
The APC candidate also said agriculture could play a major role in reducing unemployment and strengthening the state’s economy, given Adamawa’s significant agricultural potential.
He pledged to develop policies that would encourage farmers, attract private-sector investment and improve the overall productivity of the sector.
According to him, strengthening agriculture would not only improve food production but also create opportunities for young people and stimulate economic activities across the state.
The candidate is seeking to secure the APC ticket and subsequently win the 2027 Adamawa governorship election on the promise of an economy driven by productive sectors, particularly agriculture.
