The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council in Lagos State, Musiliu Obanikoro, has urged party members to put their differences behind them and unite for the 2027 general elections.
Obanikoro made the call at an interfaith prayer organised by the APC in Lagos to mark the beginning of electioneering activities for the 2027 polls.
He said members may have supported different aspirants during the party’s primary elections, but the conclusion of the exercise should now pave the way for unity behind the party’s candidates.
The former senator also appealed to APC supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully, urging them to separate political disagreements from personal relationships.
According to him, the party needs a common purpose as it prepares to face its political opponents during the general elections.
Obanikoro further urged members to support the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu and the candidacy of Obafemi Hamzat, while maintaining discipline and loyalty throughout the campaign period.
He said political offices were temporary and cautioned party members against actions that could create lasting divisions within the APC or the wider society.
The APC chieftain called on members to enter the campaign season with “one purpose, one message and one determination” as the party works towards victory in 2027.
