More than 2.68 million Nigerians have finished registering nationally, according to new data from the current Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) drive issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday.
The commission revealed in a breakdown posted on its social media account that 1,576,137 applicants successfully finished their online pre-registration, while an additional 1,109,588 registrants completed their enrollment through in-person capture at INEC locations nationwide.
With 208,357 new voters registered, Osun State continues to lead the registration total, according to the most recent data. Sokoto has 152,650 registrations, whereas Kano has 159,669.
Other states with significant participation include Imo (145,561), Borno (123,835), Lagos (123,484), and Jigawa (116,246).
With 106,855 completed registrations, the Federal Capital Territory likewise maintained a high turnout, followed by Kogi (103,750) and Zamfara (101,511). In addition to Delta, Kaduna, Ogun, Kebbi, Niger, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers, Katsina recorded 98,968.
Certain states, including Enugu (19,275), Ondo (17,542), Cross River (16,822), and Abia (16,691), reported lower registration numbers.
INEC urged eligible Nigerians to make the most of the remaining days, as the first quarter of the countrywide CVR exercise will end on December 10, 2025.
