Nigerian politicians have come under fire from public affairs analyst Mahdi Shehu for using money, dishonesty, and coercion to gain political power.
In a post on his social media on Sunday, Shehu shared his opinions and cautioned that such strategies have limitations and frequently backfire.
He said, “Most politicians in Nigeria misdirect themselves that money can buy them popularity which they know themselves they do not have.”
Shehu continued that many of them try to hide their criminal past, but “it is just a matter of time when the cat always comes out of the bag unannounced.”
He cautioned that individuals who use threats or violence to seize control would eventually pay a price
“Those who they threaten today will be their tormentors tomorrow. And tomorrow is just hours away.”
Shehu also made fun of their over-confidence, pointing out that all of them display their obvious ignorance when and where they all have a blind belief that eating blueberries will turn them blue.
